Just a little side note. I am not too keen on blogspot. It kinda sucks when you are trying to add pictures and make your post look so pretty in the "Create New Post" box and then when you post it, it looks nothing like the way you have it arranged, even after you did the preview of your post. After trying numerous times to get it just right (hey, I'm a perfectionist), I finally gave up and let it go with what it did ( I may be a perfectionist, but I know when to give up a losing battle). Just thought I would put my frustration out there.
What a weekend!
I was ve
ry busy this past weekend. I was able to put all of my grow boxes together and plant my little orchard. Hopefully, in two years, I will be able to reap a bountiful harvest. By the way, gnats suck, both figuratively and literally. I was practically eaten alive by those little buggers. I also planted some strawberries as well as some tomato seeds and a few vine peach canteloupe seeds (I have no idea what that last one is...it was a freebie).

This is one of my apple trees. I know that they all look like pathetic little sticks, but hopefully everything will take.
This is my little nectarine tree.
My totally awesome peach tree (and I don't even like peaches but Mom does). This one, by far, looks the best out of the bunch.
And this sad, pathetic little stick is my cherry tree that was broken. I decided to plant it anyways in the hope that it might overcome and grow. I also took some clippings from the branches and have them in the red cup with water to try to get them to root.

Mostly, he moved tiny little shovelfulls of dirt from one box to the other, but at least he was trying to help. It was so cute. What he really wanted to do was ride on the l
awn mower with Grandma and Grandpa. He really likes the big
red lawn mower. So much so that he disappeared yesterday from the backyard to the garage to get on the mower. I thought he was with Grandpa, Grandpa thought he was with me...instead, he was on the lawn mower. It was actually funny, you know, after I realized that he wasn't in the street or the ditch.

"She thinks my tractor's sexy!" I think he was trying to show off for Maggie across the street.
So, today was test # 2 for my current class. It was on the neurological system. It turned out to be a fairly easy test. Of course, that may have something to do with the fact that the teacher sorta went over the test on Friday and told us what we needed to study. I made an unofficial 88.3, and there might be more points coming. She has to compare with Conway and see what everyone missed that may be thrown out. But, all in all, I am very satisfied with my grade considering that I didn't study as much as I could have.
I don't have clinical tomorrow or Thursday, so no fat rolls to deal with this week. Yeah! Instead, we have ATI testing tomorrow from 11 to 6. ATI is basically a program (that we paid for in our tuition) that will help us with our NCLEX testing by giving us practice tests in the NCLEX format and books to study based on our current curriculm (which we also paid for in our tuition but haven't received yet). Thursday is a lecture day since we are off Friday and we have yet another test on Monday (musculoskeletal system)...hopefully one day of lecture will be enough.
I can't believe that there is only one month left in this semester. Then there is just the summer semester. It really has gone by fast. It now seems so long ago when we were just starting this program with hardly any knowledge in nursey things and now I am giving injections and medications and doing bed baths (always fun) and taking vital signs. It is amazing how much I feel I know, and yet that knowledge barely touches the surface of what I will learn.
Well, that's about it. Have a great Monday!
